Welcome to the Central Coast Birth page. This page is about honouring the journey throughout pregnancy, labour, birth and parenting and offering a variety of information in regard to all personal beliefs. We are passionate in our support for women, children, and our passion may extend to raising awareness in other areas which affect women and children worldwide.
Our goal is to assist interested people to make an informed choice throughout pregnancy, birth and as parents. We strongly believe that healthy pregnancy choices, vaginal birth, breastfeeding and instinctive or gentle parenting methods are the key to our future but also respect there are times when more support is required and other choices need to be made.
It is not our intention to create personal guilt for any choices made and there will be times when topics may make some followers ‘prickle’ with discomfort but keep in mind we all have our own journeys to follow. We have all learnt a little in our journey as parents and we can always continue to learn from others experiences. In fact our own experiences, choices and even mistakes can sometimes be the best lessons to learn from.
We realise that everyone has different beliefs which we may not all agree on and at times may create a debated or discussion and we ask our followers offer each person needs respect as we value all opinions. Please remember, comments are not to be discriminatory, inflammatory or disrespectful and do not post personal accusations as they will not be tolerated. We will remove any followers who choose to discriminate against others, engage in conflict or disrespect other followers.

Who is behind Central Coast Birth?
Lisa Lake is the founder of Central Coast Birth Support. Lisa is a registered Calmbirth® practitioner, a University qualified Naturopath and a mother of two, whose passion for providing birth education and support began with her own wonderful birth experiences.
Eszter Wong joined the Central Coast Birth page in 2014 after becoming a registered Calmbirth® practitioner. As a registered nurse, Eszter spent many years providing care, clinical and educational support to women throughout their reproductive years and has a passion for supporting women who’s previous births didn’t go to plan and assisting them to achieve empowered births.
What is Calmbirth®?
Calmbirth® is a pregnancy and childbirth preparation programme, offering pregnant women and birthing partners the opportunity to develop simple techniques allowing mothers to birth their babies as calmly, as naturally and as joyfully as possible.
The Calmbirth® program was developed to eliminate fear, anxiety and tension which many women experience during pregnancy, labour and childbirth and gives them and their birthing partners the ability to access subconscious resources building confidence and excitement around birth, using practical skills of relaxation, breathing and visualisation, which can be used during pregnancy, labour, birth and beyond.
We are highly supportive of community based programs and events and encourage pregnancy, birth and parenting Not for Profits groups who are working towards supporting parents making better choices and care practices in their parenting journeys to post their events on our page.
We request private businesses contact us via a private message prior to posting as we have strict guidelines in regard to the businesses we support. We reserve the right to refuse support for any individual, business or company who encourage risky or dangerous choices, behaviours or methods during pregnancy, birth or parenting where medical support is encouraged. We reserve the right to refuse support for any individual, business or company promoting breastmilk substitutes or are in conjunction with business or company who support breastmilk substitutes. We reserve the right to refuse support for any individual, business or company who support tobacco or illegal or recreational drug use. We reserve the right to choose any individual, business or company to support.
Any individual, business or company who neglect to consider our guidelines will be removed immediately.
